Technology and the TPA:
What’s Next?

Third party administrators (TPAs) are no different than any other 21st century business; among their top priorities are controlling costs, increasing efficiencies and developing strong competitive differentiators. And, like businesses in just about every other industry, they increasingly rely on technology to move the needle on performance.

Leading the Way with TPAA Member Rich Mousty
Richard Mousty is president of Unified Group Services, Inc. (UGS), an Indiana-based TPA managing more than $300 million in claims for 50,000+ lives annually. He and his staff of 100 are steadfast in their commitments to quality, as evidenced by 98% client retention and numerous accolades for outstanding business practices and financial achievements.

Primebyte
—One of the advantages of being a TPAA member is having access to partners selected specifically for their relevance and value to TPA firms. Primebyte is a perfect example, offering a suite of hosted application software to help small and medium-sized businesses handling four activities important to you and your clients: benefits administration, payroll, staffing and communications.

Letter from
The President

It is with great pleasure that I can come to you today as a member of the TPAA team. We’re excited about the relaunch and have been working very hard to bring the type of program that will surely benefit most of the nation’s TPAs. Currently, there is a great amount of consolidation taking place, especially in our business. Even the “Blues” are no longer restricted to their respective territories, as they find out there are advantages in grouping together.
