Seasons greetings from all of us here at TPAA!

This issue of Best Practice starts with the latest twist to come along in the benefits and healthcare industry—medical tourism! People are traveling abroad to get access to medical procedures! We went all over the world researching and talking to professionals who see the potential in this industry.Many Americans are having surgery out of the country for 25% to 30% of the cost of an American hospital. It’s not just Americans who are looking to foreign countries to save cost. In Asia, people are traveling to New Zealand seeking specialists who can perform procedures at half the cost to their home providers. Is it right for everyone? Probably not. But there may be situations that would benefit one of your clients’ insureds. At TPAA we have access to the best plans and discounts. Let us steer you in the right direction!

In our Partner Spotlight, we’re proud to announce the recent purchase of Asert Benefit Services by Health Systems International (HSI). Asert’s products and plan offerings have been greatly expanded by this acquisition and are quite robust. Check out the article to see what HSI has to offer.
